Windows 10: Can WSL/WSA be used as a sandbox?

Is WSL Windows Subsystem for Linux or WSA Windows Subsystem for Android a good sandbox alternative to a Virtual Machine?If I, for example, install a browser, that then going to get compromised, will it be able to access my Windows “stuff”, or only Linux/Android?I’m looking into options, and full VM VirtualBox, for example is the best one, as I understand it, but somewhat of an overkill it is a full OS, I don’t really need one. WSL would be the best, since it is quite fast and feels native, but I’m not sure how much it is “talking” to a Windows itself. WSA is a slightly worse option, bu

Windows 11 dying from WSA and WSL

Hello, For some strange reason when i try to use WSA or WSL on windows 10 and 11, it will make windows bluescreen constantly. it will be working fine for about 2 minutes(sometimes less) and then will bluescreen with different errors every time.. I've narrowed it down to WSA and WSL, (be it both at once or one at a time)
I don't know why it does this and it's getting annoying.. Is there any way to fix this? i have to either fight to uninstall/disable WSA/WSL or wipe and reinstall windows entirely.. It does it within safemode as well.. When installing WSL, windows will lock up before it even finishes, then it bluescreens every minute or so. WSA, it will install fine and work for a bit but then do the same thing. This is getting very annoying and i would really like to use them.. Any help is appreciated..

Currently on windows 11 Pro Version 10.0.22000 Build 22000

Any way to limit how much RAM does WSA uses?

Any way to limit the amount of RAM that WSA uses? Just like the WSL's `.wslconfig` file.

I doesn't mean to bypass the restrictions to run WSA on low RAM machines.

The log is located at: C:\Windows\Minidump



If there is no corresponding file in the folder, you need to turn on file storage. Wait for the next blue screen to get the logs.



Press Windows key + S key, enter Control in the search bar, find and open "Control Panel" > System and Security > System > Advanced System Settings > Advanced > Startup and Recovery > Settings, Write Debug Information Select "Small Memory Dump", OK and restart the computer.
