Windows 10: Can Xbox Captures be transferred from one pc to the next?

Hello I had xbox captures on my old computerwindows 10, so I took them and moved them to a ssd storage. Plugged that storage into my new pcwindows 11. Now when I went into my storage, the file with the video captures was not there. I checked in settings and it says the amount of storage for videos increased. IT is there, but I cannot see the file. I tried viewing hidden files on the file explorer and it still is not there. I tried using WinDirStat program and it found the file, but the thing is its marked as unknown and cannot access it. What can I do so I can recover my videos? Is it corr

Yes, you can change the default folder for Xbox captures in OneDrive by following these steps:

1. Open the OneDrive app on your device.
   
2. Click on the gear icon in the upper-right corner of the screen and select "Settings."
   
3. Go to the "Auto Save" tab.
   
4. Under the "Screenshots" and "Captured gameplay" sections, select the "OneDrive" option and then click "Update folders."
   
5. Deselect the Xbox captures folder that you no longer want to be the default and select the new folder you want to use instead.
   
6. Click "Update" to save your changes.
   

After completing these steps, any new Xbox captures will be saved to the new default folder you selected in OneDrive. If you want to move your existing captures to the new folder, you can do so by selecting them in OneDrive and using the "Move" function to move them to the new folder.

Unable to "move" Captures folder for Xbox Bar Captures

I am unable to follow those steps. As I mentioned, there is no "Captures" folder. It points directly to the temp folder, and there is no Captures folder for me to edit. When I go into the properties on the temp folder, I have no "location" tab, so nothing can be changed.

 

How do you transfer Xbox Game Bar captures to another device?

I got a new Windows 11 computer and despite still logging into my Xbox account, my captures from my other computer (Windows 10) are not showing up. I tried installing the games I took captures with, but I still have no captures. How would I possibly transfer Xbox Game Bar captures from my Windows 10 computer to my new Windows 11 computer? My Game Bar captures are additionally in a file in my computer. Would transferring by file help?
