Windows 10: Can you assist me with recording my videos from my Samsung DVD+VCR to my computer using OBS...

I have a Mini AV to HDMI UP Scaler1080P attached to the VCR with RCA composite cable to the Mini input. The HDMI cord is attached to the mini's output and into an HDMI Video Capture device which is plugged into my USB Multiport Hub. I have downloaded OBS Studio updating the program and using the setting recommended in the resource documents. I have No signal and no image despite having set up a Video Capture Device in the program. Can you make recommendations please.

Failure to record OpenGL window with OBS

I run OBS, switch to the window to record, and press the hotkey I've assigned to record. Then I wait 3 seconds and press the "stop recording" hotkey. During this whole time I see the desired animation in the window to record.

What I get out of this is a videofile with the correct length, but in the video:

• the OpenGL window does not animate in the video
  
• the OpenGL window it has the OBS window on top of it
  

The OBS window was not on top of the OpenGL window when I was recording.

Am I doing something wrong?

 

Using OBS to record TV Programs from my screen

I use OBS Studio to record TV streaming sports on Comcast. However the screen capture only works on certain steaming channels but not others, for some reason. I fail to understand why some channels work and not others on the same video streaming app. Would it be because some streaming channels activate digital rights capability but others do not? One of the OBS thread suggested re-installing OBS version from 2019 which solved the problem in his ability to record BBC stream programs: "https://www.tenforums.com/software-apps/170961-problem-using-obs-record-uk-television-my-screen.html". Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

 

How can I use my PC to transfer VCR tapes to DVDs?


You'll need some third part device that will allow the connection of your VCR/Camcorder to the PC. I used a product from Pinnacle called Dazzle back when I had Vista.
