  1. Can you Change a Specific Setting When You Open a Program?

Hi there, I have a very specific question. I have a two monitor set up, where one is my laptop and the other is an external monitor. I like to change the, "Choose what happens when you close the lid" setting in the power plan options to, "do nothing," so that I can close my laptop and game on my monitor, which gives me better fps. Then I turn it back to, "sleep" after I'm done gaming.

The thing is, it's annoying to do this every time I open up the game I play, so is there any way to change this setting automatically when I open my game. I don't know if there's some feature in windows that would let me do this or an external program, but either would work.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Trexlor

    :)

how to set open images with specific program

    Hi Alan,

This is Wil, one of the independent advisor, an expert with Windows 10 and a fellow Windows 10 user like you. I understand your concern about opening images with a specific program.

To do that, you would need to right-click on the image that you want to open and on the menu choose "Open With". If the program that you wanted to use is not on the list, click on "Choose Another App", scroll down and then click on "More Apps"

I hope my suggestions help you. If you need further assistance please do reply back and I will respond as quickly as possible. Have a nice day.

    Thanks,

    Wilfred P.

  3. Set specific programs to open on the 2nd Monitor

    Hi,

As of yet, there is no specific option that allows you to set certain programs to open on a specified display monitor. Programs open on whichever display monitor is chosen as the main monitor.

  4. Can you Change a Specific Setting When You Open a Program?

Change How Folders Open By Default (My laptop keeps using CMD)

    Hi,

Sorry for the delayed response. I suggest you to set File Explorer as the Default program and check if that helps. To do this, refer the steps given below.

    • Open Control Panel.
    • Search for Default Programs.
    • Go to Default Programs.
    • Look for File Explorer towards the left pane and select it.
    • Set this as default program and apply changes.
    • Check if the issue persists.

    Hope this helps.
