Windows 10: Can you create subfolders in Windows 11 mail app?

I have a Windows 11 PC and I am using the Mail and Calendar App. But with the mail app, I am unable to create subfolders? The "+" option does not appear. Is this a known issue?

I realize the inconvenience you are experiencing with Mail app on Windows 10.



I would like to inform you that we cannot create a subfolder in the main app. When you login to the Hotmail account on the website and then if we create a new folder in the inbox. Then it will get synced in the Mail app.

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Mail for windows 10 - will not create folders

Mail for Windows 10 offers the ability of creating your own folders and subfolders. I have followed the steps to do this however I keep getting an error message saying the folder could not be created. My software is up to date and I have tried the other
troubleshooting suggestion offered (closing the app and opening it again) without success. Other ideas to fix this?
