Windows 10: Can you download Windows 10 for free and activate it with a purchased key with no limitation

So, I want to know if it's possible to download Windows 10 pro with media creation tool and later activate it with a purchased valid key.

I plan to do this for a small-to-medium business for 20 PCs.

Is it legal? Are there any limitations? Because, it's way less expensive this way.

should I:

1. Buy like 20 windows 10 pro DVDs; or
2. Download the iso for free from Microsoft with media creation tool and buy 20 licenses.

I won't buy a key, stupid.

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?

If you upgraded to Windows 10 for free and ended up in a non-activated state, try following these steps:

or you could hack it with a crack but please note this is always risky and you don't know what's in the hack

Thanks but I don't want to do any decrypting. I want to download a Win 10 ISO from Microsoft and install it using my Win 8 key. No other steps required. Is that possible?
