    Can you get files from a dead laptop


    My laptop has been “dead” it won’t charge back up and I really need the files in my laptop and people are saying to just use your hardrive but I’ve opened my laptop and can’t seem to find a hardrive? Is there a way I can still get my files

    Hi Faye985,

    I just want to clarify what kind of laptop do you have and in what operating system?

    The best thing for me if you can't really see anything from the screen and your laptop acts dead already, you can extract the Hard Drive and buy an Enclosure for it in order for you to use it as an External Drive (just like a USB Flash disk but larger)
