I couldn't retrieve my microsoft email. I tried multiple attempts to reset the password and I received this message from microsoft.

Need a good email program

Ok, I decided to use Windows Live Mail because it's free. They are using Vista's email program so the transition didn't freak them out. WLM is easy enough for them to navigate. It also allows for more then one account as well making new email retrieval very simple as it's all done from the same front end as the default user (there is not need to log out and activate the second account). Thanks for the help guys!

 

Unauthorized Emails from my account?

It is more than likely that your email account was hacked, either by a virus sniffing your password, or just simply hacked.

Either way, change your password on your email account. Unfortunately the damage by already be done. They already have your contact list and your email address associated with that contact list. There is nothing stopping them from sending out emails using their own SMTP servers to everyone on your contact list and claiming the emails are from your email address. They don't actually have to have access to your yahoo account or even any yahoo server to send emails to people that come from your address.

 

Email server: Help needed

I'm looking to set up a simple (free or cheapish) email server. It doesnt have to be too fancy. Will have about 15 email accounts on it, and needs to have ability for webmail so mail can be picked up while on the road.

Exchange and Outlook Web Access seems like overkill (or at least, pretty expensive given the software and CLA required).

Suggestions gratefully appreciated.
