Windows 10: Can you pin some icons to the left side of the taskbar and others to the right side?

Was wondering if it was possible to place some program icons on the left side of the taskbar (next to the windows logo) while others on the right side of the taskbar next to the tray. As seen here







(both these images were made using photoshop and I have not been able to replicate it on the actual taskbar)



This is so that I can organise a cluttered taskbar with programs such as chrome and microsoft word (that I open and close when needed) as a pose to programs such as Google Calendar, Spotify, Phone Messages and Google Keep which I always keep open.



I have tried creating a new toolbar on the next to the tray but am left with just shortcuts and am given double icons for when the programs are open [as seen here with Google Keep, Phone Messages and Spotify Icons on both sides of the taskbar.]

I have also been trying a various number of programs such as (Taskbar Hide, HMW, Customiser God) but have not found a solution.

How to pin some icons to the left side and rest to the right side of the taskbar?

The ones on the left are the taskbar.
The ones on the right are the system tray.

Typically only certain apps can be pinned to the system tray. To access: Click Windows icon. Type Select Which Icons Appear on the Taskbar and click it. Drag the slider to on or off for those that are listed to show/hide them.

You can go a step further and Windows icon > Turn system icons on or off and have more options there.

 

How do I move the taskbar icons back to the left?

Hi,

Kindly follow these steps to return the icons on the left side of the Taskbar:

• Right click on the empty Taskbar and uncheck Lock all taskbars.
• Right click again on empty Taskbar and hover the mouse on Toolbar.
• Click New folder.

I added a third step to the first suggestion, which worked for me:

1. Choose start> All apps,

2. Scroll to the application you want to pin, right click and then click
Pin to taskbar.

3. When the desired icon tile appears in the desktop box, left click on it and drag it into the task bar.
