Windows 10: Can you remap the side buttons without having full driver installed for Microsoft Ergonomic...

I use Microsoft Ergonomic Mouse on Windows 11 at work. While I can install Microsoft mouse and keyboard centre, it is not installed as admin does not require to restart, but rather from a company software store. It recognizes my Ergonomic mouse and the changes I do to left and right buttons. I can also adjust DPI and it works correctly. However, the side buttons do not change even after readjusting them tried both basic setting and in-app setting - the effect is the same, buttons perform their standard functions - browser forward and back. Is there any possibility to remap the side buttons

Remap wireless mouse buttons?

I have Logitech MX620 wireless mouse and i'm looking for remap search button (never used it) to something more useful, like Refresh for i-net browsers. Is it possible to remap it without using additional software (editing registry or something like that)?

Issues with Surface Ergonomic Keyboard

To isolate the concern, is your computer also freezing when you're not using the new keyboard? This is for us to know if the issue is being caused by the keyboard or a program on your computer.

In the meantime, kindly uninstall the Surface Ergonomic Keyboard drive, and then re-install it. To do this, follow the steps below:

• (Make sure the Surface Ergonomic Keyboard is connected) Right click the Start button.
• Click Device Manager.
• Expand Keyboards.
• Look for the driver of the Surface Ergonomic Keyboard. Right click the Surface Ergonomic Keyboard driver, and the choose,
  Uninstall.
• On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the
  Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.
• After deleting the driver, visit this
  link and download the driver software.
• After downloading the driver software, run it to install.
• After installing the driver, restart your computer.
• After restarting, observe if your computer will freeze after waking up the Surface Ergonomic Keyboard.

Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 Driver...

In Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 you don't need any of driver to run. Its just run so quickly and you don't need to install any kind of drivers to run this Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard 4000.

Still as you already told above that you have installed Drivers then you have to first uninstall Drivers and connect again Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard 4000. I hope this might help you out.
