    Can you show both 12 hour and 24 hour time formats on Windows 10?


    I've been searching forums for a way to show one clock in 12 hour format and another in 24 hour. I haven't found anything of substance on how to achieve that if possible. Anyone have some deeper insight into if that is possible or not within the system tray?

    For further clarification I have two clocks showing in the system tray. One is for UTC and the other for my local time. I want my local time in 12 hour format and the UTC clock in 24 hour format.

    Windows 10. 12 to 24 hours

    Hi Sandra,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    To change the time format from 12 hour to 24 hour in Windows 10.

    Follow the steps:

    • Navigate to Control panel.
    • In the category view of the control panel, click on the
      ‘Change date, time, or number formats’.
    • Change the short time to HH:mm from the drop down.
    • Press Apply to make the changes.
    • Now your time format will change to 24 hour format.
