Windows 10: Can you use HDMI, Display port at the same time?

I'm using the built in intel graphics (HD Graphics 4600) my motherboard has HDMI,Display port. I would like to use two monitors for extended desktop.

I don't know if it will work or if i should just buy a dedicated card.

Force Display Output via HDMI Port

Windows 10 Question: The goal is to display two screens (same video screen) from the computer to two projectors for a presentation using Power Point Slides. Attaching to one projector works fine, but when I attach a HDMI splitter to hook up the second
projector, the computer no longer detects the display and will use the HDMI port as an output.



Thus, can you force a video output from the HDMI port using Windows 10.

 

Is there a way to hear sounds a with Lumia 950 connected, throught display dock, to an external display (that has not integrated audio)?

Just to let you know that connecting through the DisplayDock the same Lumia 950, this time through a HDMI to DVI cable to a Samsung Display (always without speakers and having only the DVI connection), the audio is heard on the lumia device as expected.
Should I deduce that the problem is only if an HDMI to HDMI cable is used? Or it depends on the Display brand (with the Philips with HDMI port I could not hear the sound on the phone; with the Samsung with DVI port I can ...)

 

Yes you can....it will work fine.

 

Thanks i can only get two displays to work. The third screen is greyed out if i click on it try to extend to that screen my PC locks up until i unhook the 3 screen.

 

You never mentioned 3 monitors. Your first post states 2 monitors. Doing a quick search, I found this....it may help.

You can certainly use 2 as mine is HD 4600 and I can use 2 monitors.

To use 3 you would probably need 1 HDMI and 2 daisy chained DisplayPort, or 3 daisy chained DisplayPort.

This assumes DisplayPort 1.2 with MST. My Dell monitor has that and it states 2 external monitors to itself, presumably making 3 in all.

You can use 2 HDMI monitors -- simply get a display port -->HDMI adapter. You'll need 1.2 version though for Max display resolution -- depends on your graphics card and your monitors but at least 1 of them with your card should be capable of 4K resolution.





Once you've use a monitor with proper 4K resolution you'll never want to go back -- even a 14 inch laptop seems no better than a Mobile phone screen !!!!!!!!
