Windows 10: CANNOT ACCESS MY WINDOWS ACCOUNT and computer *HELP*

Hello, I need help accessing my work computer ASAP and tried all the online troubleshooting and recovery method for the account. I don't have enough information to get identified with this account and no possible recovery method. It is the only account/profile on this computer, so it's completely locked.Here are the facts leading to this issue: The computer I bought a year ago was barely used. I opened it, logging in by creating a new gmail account. The gmail account is not used regularly, it was essentially used to get on the computer with windows on my first connection. Strange Windows 10 User Account issue.

Unfortunately I had done those steps numerous reboots, it just, reappears for no good reason. The base account isn't even a Microsoft account, it's a local account.

I haven't quite tried the built in administrator account on W10, but so far in my experience on my own computer, the built in account seemed to have absolutely no more control than I did on my own.

It's just strange, I go in, it warns me twice about deleting the account, then it's gone. Reboot, and it's back?

EDIT: Just to specify, both command line and Netplwiz both say only HIS account exists on the computer, it doesn't list this rogue account. This is what I meant in my first post about the fact that even Windows doesn't seem to believe it exists, HALF the time. *Frown

 

Cannot access shared network drive


Personally, I wouldnt use Everyone. If anyone hacks into you, they have full access to everything and can demolish everything on your raid. I would rather set up accounts and access separately for each person. That way, I know who did all that damage. In the end with a little extra work, I feel more secure by using Authenticated Users.

step 1 create non-microsoft account and without email and address without admin rights
step 2 share a drive or folder to specific user account (if Everyone is listed, remove it)
step 3 set security > add Authenticated Users (if more than 1 account) or add specific users
step 3a remove Everyone from list
step 3b uncheck full control and write for all items listed except SYSTEM and Admin account.
step 4 right click Start > Computer Management > System Tools > Shared Folders > Shares ... to verify settings and change anything else. You can also see the number of connections to each share here.

 

Upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10 - lost my main account HELP !


It's possible that the main administrator is disabled during upgrade. Follow these steps to activate it:

1. Press Windows + X to open the Quick Access menu and select "Command Prompt(admin)".
2. In the Command Prompt, type the net user command and it will list all existing local accounts.
3. Next type net user administrator /active:yes
4. Reboot your computer and check if you can login with the main administrator account.
