Windows 10: Cannot access network drive - IP is not accessible

Hi, I've been having an issue recently, that seemed to just have popped out of nowhere. I have 2 windows PCs, a main, and a secondary one which I'm using as a temporary quick network storage solution. I change my network settings to private, then turn on sharing in the control panel network options, and I'll go into explorer, and share a drive/folder. Before, I'd just type \\192.168.1.xx in file explorer to access the contents of the network drive, but now, it gives me an error: Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer. To address your concern, we would like you to check the following:

• After updating, check your Network profile under Network and Sharing Center, make sure that it is set to Private and not Public.
  
• If you are using a third party antivirus software, make sure that the
  Network drive is set to Trusted.
• Ping the network drive and check if you're getting a reply.
• Access the network drive through it's IP address via run field and not through the existing shortcut, then check if it is accessible.
• If the network drive is accessible via IP address, we would suggest you to re-map the network drive and delete the previous one that has the red X mark.

• What is the version of Windows 10 installed on the computer?
  
• What is the exact error message you’re getting while trying to access the network drive?
  
• Are you able to access the drive using its IP address?
  

I suggest to follow the steps posted by Pauli O and see if it works.

IP accessing

I have a program hat i use to block certain ip address from accessing my router/switch and computer...but i was looking and it seems that there is always a person trying to access the computer whether i have a program up or not i can be do nothing and there is an ip adress trying to access the computer. Why is this. I know that the computer is tries to send out data but it shows ips coming in are these response from me sending out the data???
