Windows 10: Cannot access System reserved partition in diskmgmt.msc

Discus and support Cannot access System reserved partition in diskmgmt.msc in Windows 10 Customization to solve the problem; I'm trying to access the System Reserved Partition.     Cannot access System reserved partition in diskmgmt.msc


    I'm trying to access the System Reserved Partition. When I start the disk management console I can see the volume I want but properties is greyed out. I'm on Windows 10 Home Insider preview, build 18351.1. I can access it from Powershell using mountvol F: /S. I can also access it from Linux, but that's time consuming. Can I really not access this from partition from its own OS, Microsoft???

    Windows 10 upgrade: unable to access the system reserve partition

    Can't upgrade to windows 10. Keep getting the error message that windows is unable to access the system reserve partition. I checked and this partition is 95% full. Any suggestions? Thanks

    "Windows 10 couldn't be installed - we could update the system reserved partition"

    I think you mean "could not update", not "could".

    Suggestions:

    • Disconnect any other hard drives.
    • Run chkdsk /f on the System Reserved partition. You'll have to do this from the CMD prompt in Repair Mode.
    • Initially there were reports of some System Reserved partitions being too small for the upgrade. Search for details if the first two suggestions fail.
