  1. Cannot access Virus & Threat Protection after PC reset.

Reset my PC without keeping files and set up as a new PC, no back-up use. I wanted a completely fresh install. While configuring my settings I went to access the Virus and Threat Protection area to add some exclusions for steamapps. There was a popup stating the an IT Admin had blocked access to this area and it is not visible in menus. This is a home computer with no work or school accounts added. My account is the Admin account.I've already checked my policies to ensure that it is set to not configured which it was and even set that policy to disabled with no change.

    :)

  2. Accessing Exclusion in Virus and Threat Protection,

    Hello there!

Is there any other way to access the exclusion for virus and threat protection? I've tried to follow steps shown online but I cannot find the settings.

    Thank you!

    Virus threat protection

    Hi Valentin

As an alternative approach, you can allow that utility through the Controlled Folder Access section of WIndows 10 security . . .

    Open Windows Defender Security Center

Go to Virus & threat protection - Virus & threat protection settings

Scroll down to Controlled folder access

From there, you can add Dell Data Vault to the list of safe or allowed apps to prevent it from being blocked

Please do not leave Controlled Folder Access turned off permanently
