Windows 10: Cannot activate genuine copy after clean install

Newegg is a legitimate source! They won't deal with fake sites at all. Perhaps a link for the video that names the site or simply mentioning the name of the vendor's site can be looked up on a Bing run and looked over first. I doubt any site being referred to would be any problem. $30-$40 to get a key is good price and would solve the OP's situation.

Have to agree with you budette, no way a legit reseller is gonna make a profit at that price... besides why would he promote an alternate avenue for purchase from that, that he was (previously) affiliated?

lol i understand man sorry if it came off that way just here to help but i truely hope people who need legal windows do take advantage cause prirating day are over not that i ever supported it also to people who do buy a key pay the dollar extra protection plan

 

Quite simple! Anyone can offer a deal in order to draw business in while MS sets the MSRP on everything as each othere manufacturer does. At wholesale cost which is much less then Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price a vendor can easily let keys go for cost! Once you find a great deal like that you are likely to return for other things to buy being the sales objective seen often.

Back in 2013 a friend was starting up his own family run business where I advised him to follow the lead other successful vendors go by finding out where the max prices where going to be and offer periodic discounts. His business grew fast! It wasn't software however but just an illustration of how marketing strategies work. This source is also connected to Amazon as well as Newegg by the way while when simply finding any supposed unknown offers out in the wild those would be highly questionable until verified when not from a regular known source!

That's one reason when still wanting to keep 7 running I shopped for deals on 10 during the Black Friday and ended up only seeing a $20 mark down at Newegg! for a break on an OEM for System Builders dvd set. On the other thread someone got a break from a live chat with someone at MS seeing his pc set to go for $40 showing MS is more interested in pushing 10 out at the moment until the July general update is seen which will be the more or less Finished version of 10 retail there. They wanted more people running 10 in exchange for the feedback in order to get 10 up there like 7 had been!

Prices weren't $20 but just under $30! At first all I saw was for the Home OEM key and now ran across the Pro OEM key for $29.37 with multiple vendors listed. That will beat the other person's $40 tag for a few friends as well as grabbing a spare or two. I still have a sibling's 7 build that could use a second 10 drive there! *Biggrin

Well I had a few questions here as well. One thing that needs to be confirmed however is Regional Limitations! While the price being OEM is considerably less I am not finding any option for US! This site seems to be all European. I noticed the price for US currency but under the Globle English option only otherwise in pound or some other currency. Could be for the N edtiions as well?

Remember Newegg and Amazon have international sellers working through those sites as well as what is sold by each. Been finding that out fast at Newegg lately when going to order a battery and finding the tracking showing China afterwards! Ordered something else and once again a Chinese seller. Then another new order for something else coming in from the Ukraine! Talk about not knowing just where? Globalization at work I guess! *Roflmao2

 

yea thats why i make sure when i do buy off that site i make sure they all have the icon that says region free it means its for everyone globally sometimes they will post certain countries it is not available to them other then that even some of the video games i got off they where good it goes sucks they leave ukraine out allot if i live in the u.s if it helps others

 

i like the way you break things down man if you do buy anything from them just make sure u pay the dollar extra for protection from the website an also when i purchase i always go for the seller with the most sales an best feedback i guess i always look at it like a ebay type deal? if ya buy anything can you confirm the key worked i know i said i bought 3 an they was good but im new here an i understand the new guy needs to build up his reputation as well thanks for explaining

 

Well I paid out $140 for the dvd back in November and got a key that works in order to continue using the 7 key on 7! That was a fair deal at the time with the $20 discount when you consider what had paid out previously for each new version! Vista saw over $200 for the Home Premium!

Back in 2009 on 7's launch I ordered the full retail for the Ultimate edition and paid out $320US at a local Staple store and waited for the dvd set to come in by mail. They only keep empty cartons on display in most places. But paying out the $140 tag despite getting a 7 Pro OEM dvd for only $70 at one place online back in 2012! while twice as much was still a bargain compared to what was paid out for 7! But that is the thing since MS and me are both in the US you end up with the US prices!
