Windows 10: Cannot activate my Windows 10 license (0xc03f6506)

Hello. Today I was installing Windows on my PC. I had a valid license, and during the installation, I put it in. Later, I had problems while booting so I had to reinstall the operating system again, reusing the same key. I guess, due to this my key is detected as used and I am getting that error when trying to activate my Windows 10 copy. Is there any way to reset the key somehow? I hope my key is not lost forever...

Activation Issue 0xc03f6506

Windows is not activating and the error 0xc03f6506 is being throwed and something about using this product key on another computer.

I suspect what the issue may be. I mainly work on Ubuntu but I need to use Windows for some things. I tried using Windows on a Virtual Machine for a while and had no problems activating it there. But now that I erased my hard drive and I'm setting up everything
so that Windows has its own partition I can't activate it. The fact that I used the key on a Virtual Machine is causing the issue ? How can we solve this ? Clearly the fact I was using Windows on VM on the Lenovo computer that came with the license can't count
as using it in another computer.

As stated in the Microsoft License Terms, the license allows you to install only one instance of the software for use on one device, whether that device is physical or virtual. A hardware partition is also considered as a device.

One option we have is to transfer your license from your Virtual Machine to your new Windows partition. As long as you have removed the Virtual Machine from your computer, you should be able to activate Windows 10 on your new partition.

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?
