Windows 10: Cannot activate Windows 10 on new computer

Hey, I recently bought a used computer with Windows 10 in it, which is not activated.

My old computer had Windows 7, I tried to activate it with that product key which I understand should be possible, but it does not even let me type in the first symbol, which is a 0. What's going on here?

Move windows 10 from old computer to new.

Just install Windows 10 Pro on the new computer and use your Windows 7 Ultimate key to reactivate.

I won't buy a key, stupid.

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?
