Is how it goes, I bought a "new" motherboard from a seller online which he said he tested it before and it was working. When I got home from collecting, reinstall the OS and use my professional key that I got long time ago from a OEM hp prodesk key which worked on my old motherboard. After the long set up was done, I jumped into settings and saw that Windows wasn't activated which was quite bizarre and when I press it, I didn't saw my product key but a product key was unknown to me. I think the seller had use a non genuine product key and I am wondering how do I remove it from the motherboard. Upon trying multiple times of reinstalling, it was still a failure. So if you guys have any chances of knowing what to do, please tell me. Thanks!

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?

use the key you need for the build and run those lines in cmd to activate
