Windows 10: Cannot Activate Windows 11 with my Microsoft 365 Work Account

Hey, I have just installed Windows 11 on new hardware and want to activate it.My company has a Microsoft 365 org account and we all have licences for 365 Business Standard which include a Windows licence I believe.If I follow the instructions to Activate Windows Settings > System > etc. I get to the part where you have to log in to Microsoft. As soon as I type in my email address the one I use for my Microsoft 365 account I get an error message saying no account exists for that email address!Can anyone tell me how to activate my Windows OS with my MS 365 licence?Thanks

Do you have an associated Office 365 Exchange Account? If I sign into 365 Outlook Web Access and click the gear > Office 365 settings I can see the software section references in the below article. You should be able to deactivate there as well.

Changing the main microsoft account used on windows 11 to another microsoft account + relink the windows activation

Hello,

This is my issue, I hope someone can help.

I've installed and activated windows 11 a month or two a go.

At that time I had a Gmail (Google Workspace) with a custom domain that I used as microsoft account, and I used that account to log into Windows 11.

A few weeks ago I decided to migrate my domain to Office 365.

The result is that my Microsoft account became an Office 365 account.

Apparently, this is not the same and you cant use an O365 account as a Microsoft account (weird?).

This has broken several features:

- Windows Widgets, asks me to verify my account but this does not work

- Microsoft Edge profile and data syncing acts up

- etc ...

What I want to do is either find a way to use my office 365 account as my main microsoft account for everything Windows 11.

Or if this is not possible, I will create another microsoft account:

- How do I switch from my current account to a new microsoft account without reinstalling windows?

- How do I link my windows activation license to the new microsoft account?
