Windows 10: Cannot adjust display brightness - possible GPU issue or windows bug?

Hi All,I recently had my laptop SSD die and an IT friend kindly replaced it for me.Samsung PM981 256GB M.2 NVMe-PCIe, OEM SSD, like-for-like replacementPrior to this I had no display issues.Laptop: Acer Razer Blade 15GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 with Max Q DesignProcessor: IntelR CoreTM i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20GHz 2.20 GHzRAM: 16GBOS: Windows 10 Home x64bit, Version 21H1 OS Build 19043.1288BIOS: 01.01Since then my laptop is back up and running smoothly however I cannot seem to adjust the display at all brightness, night mode etc. Adjusting the brightness keys will show the brightness slid

Cannot adjust display brightness in Windows 10

Step 1: I suggest you to update the Display drivers
and check if it helps you.

Refer:
Uninstall and Reinstall the graphics card drivers

If that doesn't help uninstall and reinstall latest graphic driver from manufacturer's website.

Note: Update all the drivers and also install all the pending updates and check.

Step 2: After installing and Updating refer the below steps to check how to automatically adjust the brightness.

• Press Windows + I keys and select System.
• Select Display and check the Adjust brightness automatically
• Restart the machine.
