Windows 10: cannot backup to hard drive as it says it's been too long since I backed up

Discus and support cannot backup to hard drive as it says it's been too long since I backed up in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; Been lax and not backed up for months.     cannot backup to hard drive as it says it's been too long since I backed up


    Been lax and not backed up for months. Computer says it has been too long since I connected the external hard drive and I have to reconnect my hard drive and click on the files I want to save. I have unplugged/plugged back in many time and get the same message. Help please.

    Free hard drive backup/restore program?

    I am looking for a free (freeware) program that will back up and restore a hard drive. I'm looking to clone a few external hard drives. If the program will backup the used space instead of the whole drive this will be awesome! Thanks for any suggestions.

    Obviously you're looking for something besides your Xp Pro utility that does this?

    Backup taking way too long

    If you are just backing up movie files to another hard drive (I mistakenly thought you were using an disk image type backup prog for full system back-up), I suggest just copying the files manually to the back-up drive. Just copy and paste.
