Cannot boot new PC with USB drive to install widows 11

Hello,I recently bought a new PC, and don't manage to install widows 11 with the USB drive I got fresh from the windows 11 family's box.Every part in the PC is new.I can boot in the BIOS where all components are detected, even the USB drive, however it is not recognized as a bootable device "No Bootable Device Found".I checked the USB drive with another PC and it seems to work fine.I tried every USB port, didn't work.I tried unplugging every other USB before reset, didn't work. According to some posts, if I enable CSM Support from the BIOS options it should work, however I cannot enable CSM

Installing windows off of a USB stick

    Step By Step from vista:
    From admin cmd prompt

    1. diskpart
    1a. list disk
    2. select disk 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
    3. clean
    4. create partition primary
    5. select partition 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
    6. active
    7. format fs=fat32
    8. assign
    9. exit

Copy Windows Vista's DVD ROM content to the Flash Drive

xcopy d:\*.* /s/e/f e:\ (d being your vista cd and e being your usb stick)

And that's it, boot off your usb disk

  3. Installing Windows 11 from a recovery USB on Dell Inspiron 3580

    Hi,

    Background:

Drive was showing signs of death. Machine had Win 11 installed and updated.

    • I created a USB recovery drive as per MS instructions.
    • I removed the old drive, and added a new SSD drive.
    • Upon boot Windows Setup launches. I select language, time and currency, and keyboard (all defaults) and click Next.
    • I click Install Now.
    • Setup starts.
    • I respond to the applicable notices and license terms affirmatively and click Next.
    • I am seeing 2 options: Upgrade which is not available because I am booting with a USB drive. I choose Custome, Install Windows Only. Which is fine by me.
    • I choose the new drive from the list.
    • The installation runs from Copying Windows files to Finishing up. All steps are marked complete.
    • Then the Windows Setup launches again.
Dell diagnostics show the new drive is functional, and no other problems were found.

Can anyone please suggest what I might try next/differently, etc.?

  4. Cannot boot new PC with USB drive to install widows 11

Installing Windows 7 via USB flash drive!

Its weird tho cause I have no problem with installing from disc. I did change it back to boot from HDD. I really dont want to uninstall all my components, kinds defeats the purpose of installing from usb. it would take longer to disconnect and reconnect after install then it would to just install from dvd.

Do you think its beacuse the drive was formated in ntfs, thats the only step I did different from the OP. Well that and the bootsect /nt60 command before coping files.

heres they way I went, probly have to try it fat32

    launch diskpart.exe)
select disk 1 (or your USB drive number, use list disk to get it)
    clean
    create partition primary
    select partition=1
    active
    format fs=ntfs
    assign
    exit

Now that the drive is boot aware, we have to initialize its boot sector with the Windows boot manager (BOOTMGR), using the Bootsect.exe utility located in the boot directory of the Vista installation DVD. We have to tell the utility that our target drive is NTFS formatted:

    bootsect.exe /nt60 f:
