Windows 10: Cannot change from Windows Enterprise to Windows Home

Short version: I have a freshly purchased copy of Windows 10 Home (I have the DVD and product key in hand) and cannot activate it because my PC is already running an inactivated copy of Windows 10 Enterprise.

Long version: I recently built a PC and was using an old, unactivated version of Windows 10 Enterprise until my purchased copy of Windows 10 Home arrived. When my fresh copy arrived, I plugged the DVD into a disk drive, went through the installation process (I chose the option to update my Windows instead of doing a fresh install), and found that my PC was still running the unactivated copy of Windows 10 Enterprise. The only thing that changed was the error message about lacking an activation key--it changed to "Windows is not activated as your previous version of Windows on this device was not activated prior to upgrade to Windows 10". I did some research and found that downgrading from Enterprise -> Home seems to require a fresh install. I reset my PC through settings, did a full wipe, and find that it simply reinstalled the unactivated version of Windows 10 Enterprise. Now the error message is back to "Windows reported that no product key was found on your device". When I try entering my product key in settings, it says "The product key you entered didn't work. Check the product key and try again, or enter a different one. (0xc004f050).

How can I get rid of my inactivated Windows 10 Enterprise and install Windows 10 Home?

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
