  1. Cannot change Login Screen time out period.

I cannot see timeout setting for login screen anywhere in both Windows 10 and 11. 1. Boot up computer. 2. Login screen where password must be submitted. - This screen enters power safe mode in 55 seconds. I am on a desktop and this happens on both my computers. I'd like to turn off power safe mode. I can find info relating to lock screen power settings - but cannot find info for Login screen time out settings - is the login screen the same thing as the lock screen? System > power settings - This is set to - When plugged in, turn off screen after 30 minutes. Put device to sleep - Never. Ad

  2. No login prompt at login screen

Post #8 “I can login to the computer after restart, but every locking after it causes the problem.”

Check Way 3: Lock computer in Screen Saver Settings.
Step 1: Type lock computer in the search box on taskbar and choose Lock the computer when I leave it alone for a period of time.
Step 2: In the Screen Saver Settings dialog, choose On resume, display logon screen and hit OK.
Is “On resume, display log on screen” checked?

    Lock vs Login screen screenshot

    Hi Josey -

Thanks for the quick reply. While your suggestion does change the sign in process, it doesn't address the differing screenshot question. Following the steps doesn't make the login screenshot the same as the Lock screenshot. As I mentioned, I can't even find the screenshots being used for both screens.

Still looking a solution to this. Open to any other suggestions you might have to the problem. Thanks!
