Windows 10: Cannot change printer statue from offline, cannot open print queue to access settings

I am using a laptop running Win 11 Pro with updates turned on and just completed. A new HP Laserjer M234 printer was installed on wifi and worked perfect for 5 months, two weeks ago it went offline. I cannot open print queue to change the printer status. I ran services .msc no change.

Try the below troubleshooting steps on desktop device and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to check the status of
Print Spooler service and check.

Print Spooler service, spools print service and handles interactions with the printer.
If you turn off this service you won’t be able to print or see your printer.

Steps:

• Press Windows + R to open Run command, type
  Services.msc and press Enter.
• Search for Printer Spooler service, right click on it and
  Start the service.
• Also, set the Startup type to Automatic.
• Now check if you are able to install the driver.

Step 2: I suggest you to run Printer troubleshooter and check if it helps.

• Press Windows + X, click on Control Panel, select
  Category and then select Large or Small icons.
• Click on Troubleshooting and click on
  View all in the left pane.
• Select Printer and follow on-screen instructions.

Step 3: To Manually Clear and Reset Print Spooler Queue follow:

• Press Windows + R to open Run command, type
  Services.msc and press Enter.
• Search for Printer Spooler service, right click on it and
  Stop the service.
• Close the window.

Method 1:



Step 1: I suggest you download and run the
HP Print and Scan Doctor and check if it resolves the issue.



Step 2: I suggest you refer to the article
Troubleshooting offline printer problems
and perform the troubleshooting steps mentioned and see if that helps.



Method 2:

If your printer is slow to print, I suggest you refer and follow the suggestions from
