    Cannot change Word 2007 style


    When I open a template that has my heading and footer, and save it as a document, I cannot change style from Strong to Normal, I click Normal, nothing happens, Strong keeps highlighted. Template and document act the same way.

    Were you using Word on your computer to write your letter? If so, what version of Word are you using (i.e., Word 2003, Word 2007, Word 2010)?

    Not really sure that you mean about hitting Gallery, but does the screenprint in this article (linked below) look like what you are seeing?

    Word 2016 Styles not working

    Sure. I have heard this same thing many times. Yours may work, mine does not.

    I have been using styles in Word for many years. Below I was clicking on Body Text 2 and Body Text 2 +16 pt Bold appeared out of nowhere and only changed the single word in the paragraph. Every version of Word including 2016 until I upgrade to 16.06.6366.2036
    when I click on a Style that style is the one used and changes the whole paragraph. Been doing since since Word has been around.

    The more I use Styles with this version, the more it jumps to another Style usually above the one I click on. Hence the reason it appears to be a bug in at least my release. The more I click, the more Word decides on its own to use another style. Why? No
    idea.
