Windows 10: Cannot connect New Windows 11 Home Computer to a Specific Network Share

I have a home network consisting of computers connected in the same workgroup in a Private Network and shares created to move and copy files between each other. I have a USB disk drive connected to a Linksys MR9000 router acting as the backup storage media for all computers. This drive is mapped on each computer using the IP address of the router \\10.125.1.1. The computers are a mix of Windows 10 and Windows 11 Home. Network sharing is not working between windows 11 and windows 10 computers

Check network sharing settings: On the Windows 11 computer, ensure that network sharing is enabled and configured correctly. Follow these steps:

Open the Settings app (Windows key + I) on the Windows 11 computer.

Go to "Network & Internet" and select "Sharing" from the left sidebar.

Make sure that network discovery and file sharing are turned on.

Enable the necessary sharing options, such as sharing files and printers, as per your requirements.

If applicable, select the specific users or groups that should have access to the shared resources.

Verify folder or drive permissions: On the Windows 11 computer, check the permissions of the shared folders or drives. Ensure that the Windows 10 user account has the necessary permissions to access the shared resources. You can modify the permissions by following these steps:

Right-click on the folder or drive you want to share and select "Properties."

Go to the "Sharing" tab and click on "Advanced Sharing."

Click on "Permissions" and ensure that the Windows 10 user account or the "Everyone" group has the appropriate permissions.

Allow Windows 10 in the Windows 11 firewall: On the Windows 11 computer, ensure that the Windows Firewall allows incoming connections from the Windows 10 computer. Follow these steps:

Open the Windows Security app on the Windows 11 computer.

Go to "Firewall & network protection."

Click on "Allow an app through firewall."

Connecting computer with no internet connection to network printer

1. Open Admin command and type: ipconfig
   
   
   
2. Win+X->Control Panel->Netwok and Sharing Center
   Follow the screen shot. This should disable internet access from this PC but allows access to local device(s)
   NOTE: Use the IP & Subnet Mask from step 1. Leave Default gateway & DNS Server blank
   
   
   

 

Cannot access shared network drive

I could scream! so much time wasted on this stupid error, as if time is not precious enough!
It probably would work fine if I could see the other computer! But I cannot see the other computer!
