Windows 10: Cannot connect to iCloud.com with either Edge or Chrome on win 11 pc

Cannot connect to iCloud.com on win 11 pc using either Edge or Chrome. Works fine with Firefox or if IPv6 is disabled

ICloud won't work on WIndows PC

I am unable to access ICloud using the web and the ICloud app on my Windows 11 PC using both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. ICloud works fine on my Iphone and Kindle Fire using the Silk browser. When I use the web, the error message is: "ICloud encountered an error trying to connect to the server." When I try to use the ICloud app for Windows, the error message is "An error occurred during authentication."

 

Chrome files on my Win 10 PC

I have never installed Chrome on my Win 10 PC and don't want it. However, I have lots of files that show up when I do a File Explorer search for "Chrome". Chrome is not listed as an app - so I can't uninstall it. There is a file in C:\Windows\WinSxS called
Chrome.browser. Lots of Chrome files elsewhere. Can I safely delete all this stuff? When I go to iCloud and sign out I get an email saying that my iCloud account was accessed by someone using the Chrome browser.

 

Can't get Youtube to show videos in Chrome

(I'm assuming you did at least a few of these steps, since you stated you tried other suggestions earlier)
