    Cannot connect to internet- problem with the driver for Local Area Connection adapter.


    I recently lost power due to a storm, resulting in me losing the internet. Once my power and internet were restored, I was unable to connect to the internet. After troubleshooting the problem my laptop is saying there may be an issue with the driver for Local Area Connection adapter. If I try to change the adapter options, no adapter shows up. No available networks are present, even if I try to create a hotspot using my iPhone. When looking at the network properties my wi-fi, local area connection 1, and local are connection 2 all say the status is not present and the connectivity is disconnected. I have tried to restart my computer, but that doesn't help either.


    Is there anything else I can do to resort my internet connection?

    Missing field Connect using in Local Area Connection Properties

    Have you tried uninstalling the Network Adapter? Since there is no properties in the Local Area Connection, we suggest that you uninstall the Network Adapter. Follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows Key + R.
    • Type devmgmt.msc.
    • Right click on the Network Adapter.
    • Select Uninstall.
    • Select Ok.
    • Select Scan for Hardware changes.
    Update us on the results.

    Local local area connection adapter is disabled

    Hi! I've been having a problem with my Ethernet connection ever since I upgraded to windows 10 (from windows 7). Every now and then while browsing the internet or playing an online game my connection stops and when I run troubleshooting on it I'm told
    that the local area connection adapter was disabled. It restarts its and the internet comes back up, but some times not even 15 mins later it does it again and sometimes the troubleshooting gets stuck while resetting the adapter and I have to restart my computer (which brings
    the internet back online too).

    internet connection problem- help

    make sure you Local Area Connection properties arent set with a static IP address

    start>control panel>network connections

    right-click on you local area connection and go to

    properties>general tab

    select "internet protocal (tcp/ip)" this should highlight it, than click properties and make sure it has "Obtain an IP address automatically" select and for the DNS also.
