Windows 10: Cannot Connect To Security Camera Router-Win 11

I just got a Windows 11 computer. I have a router for internet and it works fine. I have a separate router just for my security cameras. On my Win 10 computer I have no issues connecting to the router but on the Win 11 computer it shows it cannot connect to it. I have matched the same settings that are in my Win 10 computer and have the right security chosen. The router is not connected to the internet and I do not want it connected. I just use it to view and change the settings on the cameras. The router is within distance so it is not that. Below is a screenshot of what I am seeing in Win 11

Router or router/modem - for security cameras without use of internet

Hi, I currently have an modem which i think is also a router,it connects to australian nbn internet. I am wondering how my security cameras and computer would work with a router/modem for nbn [australia] if i am not connecting to the internet ? I am not connecting to the internet at all,the cameras also do not require the internet.Would i need a router/modem that does not connect to the nbn {australia] and is a router on its own and not a modem as well?The internet is not involved in the connection of the computer and the security cameras. I am not sure but i think my modem is also a router,it connects to australian nbn internet,and apparently i can access other devices thru it,but have only done that once,so not sure if this is the best sort of router/modem to use. Also,is there a higher security router available?What sort would they be? thanks in advance windows 10

 

Unable connect to WEP Security Router

Before assisting further, I would like to ask you few questions:

• Do you get any error message when you try to connect to the network?
• Are you able to connect to other devices using similar router?

Method 1: If you are able to connect to other devices using the same router, i suggest you to run the troubleshooters by following the steps below:



Step 1: I suggest you to run the
internet connection troubleshooter by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows icon key on the keyboard, type Troubleshooting and select the top most search result.
• Click on View all from the left side panel of the window.
• Select Internet Connections, click on
  Advanced and check Apply repairs automatically
  option.
• Follow the on screen instructions.

Step 2: Also run the network adapter troubleshooter by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows icon key on the keyboard, type Troubleshooting and select the top most search result.
• Click on View all from the left side panel of the window.
• Select Network Adapter,
  click on Advanced and check Apply repairs automatically
  option.
• Follow the on screen instructions.

Method 2: If the issue persist, I suggest you to
update the network adapter driver from device manager by following the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and click on
  Device Manager.
• Expand the Network adapter driver from the list.
• Right click on the driver and click on Update option.
• Restart the PC to install the network adapters automatically and check if the changes are effective.

Also check from the manufacturer’s website if you are using updated network adapter.

Router behind a router = more secure?

So it is more secure from both exploits and brute force to have router > Router > Computers. An attacker would have to find exploits in both routers before gaining access to a network?

I'm not that worried, I just wanted to know the theory as I seem to get conflicting information. I had always assumed that having a router behind a router would be better security-wise.

I am pretty sure that my router would be on the list of those compromised in Vietnam by malware. The malware only changed the primary DNS for the router, so I would still not be immune to this kind of attack if someone gained access to my internet facing router, but it got me thinking more about security.
