Windows 10: Cannot Connect to wifi due to driver problems.

My wife's Laptop is an Asus model X1500E. She cannot connect to our wifi. We have an error message 'Intel Wireless-9461 This Device cannot start Code 10'. The motherboard is X515EA. I have tried to update the drivers but received an error message 'WIndows found drivers for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install them' Any ideas?

I've got 4 systems connecting via wireless; all adapters are different makes; all have zero issues, and two of them are old (wireless-G only). Most every issue I have seen with wireless connections has been driver-related. (Or, impending router failure.) I would suggest identifying your adapter model/make, and searching for different drivers that you can try out. And, sometimes an older driver works better than a newer one (just had this issue on a system I was working on yesterday). Also, verify you have these same connection issues when connecting to different routers, just to rule that out.

OK, so the Windows 10 engineers bollixed up the wifi connectivity part of the operating system. Everybody knows that by now. It seems they are making some progress in resolving it. Now, instead of seeing "Secured, No Internet" on your list of wifi connections, you see "Connected, Secured" EXCEPT no webpages will load. So you really aren't connected. It does seem to be a step in the right direction. Does anybody know when they plan on a full and complete repair of this screw up of epic proportions?

I suggest that you perform the steps below and check if issue persist:

Method 1: Network troubleshooting

• On the search bar type“Troubleshooting”
• Click on “Network and Internet”
• Click on“Network Adapter” and run the troubleshooter.

Method 2: Download and install the latest firmware updates for the Wi-Fi adapter

Follow these steps to un-install the drivers:

• On the search bar type “ Device Manager”
• On the left pane locate “Network Adapter” and expand by clicking on it
• Right on the “ Wireless adapter” option and click “Uninstall’
• Download the latest Wireless network adapter driver setup file from the manufacturer’s website and install it.
