Windows 10: Cannot connect WD EX4100 NAS to win 11 24H2 2600.4061

I've tried EVERY solution I can find to get my WD EX4100 NAS to be accessed by win11. The kit is all of two months old. Connecting to the NAS on win10 was click, click, done. The NAS uses SMB3. SMB1 is enabled in win11. File sharing and network discovery are on. ALL devices are on the same network. File explorer can plainly see the NAS but WILL NOT allow access. Mapping drives does NOT work because win 11 won't allow it.So, how do I overcome this latest feature from mictosoft? Or maybe it would be simpler and easier to install Linux Mint. At least it WORKS!

Can't open WD NAS drives after update KB4034674

Windows 10 Home, v 1703, build 15063.540

My NAS devices ( WD EX4100 and WD MyBook Live Duo 8TB ) both display as a device in Explorer, but can't be opened ( to view files / folders ) in File Explorer since the Aug 8 update. The WD NAS admin page is available via browser from the same PC, and streams
media successfully. I can't map them with the \\devicename\share names, and existing shares with \\devicename\share can't be opened. Both drives are static IP, and their configurations have not changed in months.

If I click either drive listed under the Network section, Explorer's status bar slowly fills for a minute and then displays:

Error code 0x80070035

The network path was not found

If I try to map a drive, the device names are listed in the Map Network Drive dialog, but the Browse for Folder times out as above

There are no currently listed problems resetting version 24H2 of Windows 11 and no specific steps you need to perform, are you experiencing any problems with that insider build that is causing you to perform a Windows reset?
