Windows 10: Cannot copy, open, replace, or delete jpeg files!

I am using Windows 10 Home on a Lenovo computer. I was copying JPEG files from one Toshiba Canvio 2TB portable hard drive to another. A number of files would not copy error message - "Can't read from the source file or disk" and they would not open on the original drive. However, I found some of those exact files in another folder on the same drive which I had no problem opening or copying to the other drive, and also on another external drive a Seagate 2TB portable. I tried to replace the problem files with the good copies on the same drive, but got the same error messages, and the same

You can't copy a folder, thats why it generates an exception (you are trying to copy a folder using a copy file function).
You probably need to list all the files inside that folder and copy one by one

PowerPoint file crashes PowerPoint upon opening

since this happens in some of the computers only, suggest that you open the file on working computer and copy everything and paste to a new powerpoint file.
most of the time it works to me. *Smile
