Windows 10: Cannot create free Azure account. Phone number cannot be validated.

I would like to get to know Azure but cannot create an account. I have a Microsoft account and can log in, no problem. Then I go to: https://signup.azure.com/I try to create a free Azure account, enter my phone number, click on "send SMS" or "Call", but every time I get the message:"Your phone number cannot be validated". I can try again, tried another phone number, same message. Yes, I already triple checked / tried:* The country code* My phone number* SMS or call Nothing works. I tried to call support and I get redirected to the website aka ms. Similar tickets refer to Azure support. I can

How to create google account without phone number?

Is this possible anymore? Back then when i created an account, they never asked for phone number. Also not long ago i created a few google accounts and im pretty certain they did not require my password etc. But my issue is im in a different location now and i cannot log into the account because i wiped my history and using a different ip address since im in different country.


I want to create a new google account, i heard its called a dummy account, because i bought a brand new chromebook and have to set it up. I found out you need to log into your gmail account to set chromebook up. I had no idea this was needed. Thus i don't want to use my main google account to do this. Because this chromebook is solely to stream tv shows, movies, sports. Also to stream other entertainment etc. Also would be web browsing on it because i know many sites have viruses so that would be my web browsing computer.


Does anyone know if there is a way to create a new google account without a phone number? The reason is because if you put a phone number, well it would be connected to you etc. The other thing is i do have a google voice number but the issue is that number is connected to that email account and not something i want to do. So the only option would be create a new google account and just put my google voice phone number since my google voice number is the only number im using. Its connected to my main email account. Does anyone have any options on this? I don't want to buy a phone number or burner phone for this.

 

Unable to disconnect from Azure AD after account login issues

Been having an issue with one of our systems that is Azure AD joined, we seem to be experiencing the issue with accounts claiming that the password is incorrect. We are running and Insider Preview build (18346.19h1) on this system, so know to expect a couple
of issues, but wanted to get others thoughts on it before we reload the system.

Steps taken so far are:

• try other Azure Users, same error
• create and login with a local account
• disconnect and reconnect to Azure AD

One of the issues being that we cannot disconnect the system. The disconnect button warns of the consequences, then proceeds to do nothing.

Any other troubleshooting steps to try or is it time to wipe and reload?

 

Microsoft account and phone number linked

Microsoft account password recovery requires two verification codes being sent using two different verification methods. Each Microsoft account has at least two verification methods, the phone number and additional email address which are asked and required when you set up a new Microsoft account with a new hotmail.com or outlook.com email or using a third party email.

When the thief who got your phone tries to recover your password, all your verification methods / security info phone numbers and email addresses will be listed for him to select one. OK, the thief naturally selects your phone number, gets the code sent as a text message, and enters it.

But, clicking Next after entering the code he needs to select another security info contact (phone / email) from the list to receive second verification code.

Password recovery is not possible with just your phone, the system is clever enough to make it impossible by requiring two codes being sent to two different phones and / or emails.

You can add as many phone numbers and email address as you wish as security info contacts at https://account.live.com/proofs/mana...&refp=security. I wholeheartedly recommend that you add at least another security email address; if you only have one phone number and one email added, those which were required when you set up the Microsoft account, and that thief got your phone, the recovery would be as impossible to you as it is to him, you both having access to just one of required two verification methods.
