Windows 10: Cannot create new virtual machine on win 11 pro

HelloI have no possibilities to create a new virtual machine on win 11 pro.I have followed the installation guide and try to troubleshoot the issue with no success.Can you please advice?The installation is new and not older than a month.Kind RegardsJean-Christophe

Transfer a Win 10 Pro licence to Win 11 on a virtual computer

I have Windows 10 Pro licence (retail, not OEM) on an old computer that does not meet requirements for upgrade to Win 11. The licence is linked to my Microsoft account.

I plan to discard the old computer and use the licence for a new virtual Windows machine. I want to utilize a free upgrade to Windows 11 Pro. The new virtual machine will be a fresh start, no transfer of stuff from the old computer.

I did a research about how to proceed, but still have two questions. My findings and questions:

1. The license is linked to my Microsoft account, which should allow me to install Windows in a virtual machine and activate it using the Activation troubleshooter. Is that correct?

2. Should I install Windows 10 Pro in the virtual machine, activate it and than upgrade to Windows 11 Pro? Or is it possible to install Windows 11 Pro right away and activate it using the Windows 10 Pro license?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

IT from work has worked on this all week and as well as myself. Going through all the steps listed for virtual machine error . Installing uninstalling removing anit-virus software with no fix. I would appreciate any suggestions
