Windows 10: Cannot delete files from any SDXC card on my new Windows 11 Pro desktop.

There is no option to delete files. The trash can icon is grayed out. Right-clicking does not give me a delete or move option. None of the cards are locked. I can move and delete files from the same devices on my laptop which is also running Windows 11 Pro. I shouldn't have to rely solely on my laptop to do this type of thing. It's pretty basic.I have a new desktop PC running Windows 11 Pro. I have several SD cards I use, some in my cameras and some in my dashcam. None are locked and I have never had any difficulty deleting files after copying what I wanted to keep to more permanent storage. I

Trying to install apps onto an sdxc card

Conflicts with the SDXC card file system is one of the possible reasons why you are unable to download a file or install an application to your SDXC card. For us to assist you better, kindly answer the questions below:

• Have you made any changes to your computer prior to this issue?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
• Which version and OS build number of Windows 10 is currently installed? To check, press the Windows key, type winver, and press the Enter key.
• What is the make and model of your device?
• Do you received any error messages?
• Have you tried using a different SDXC card, and check if you will be able to experience the same issue?
• Have you tried to copy/paste a file from your C: drive to your SDXC card?
• Have you tried inserting your SDXC card to a different device?
• What is the file system of your SDXC card?

Meanwhile, I would suggest that you try to reformat your SDXC card to a NTFS file system and check if it helps.

windows 10 deleted my desktop files

Step 1 - I upgraded to Win 10 and lost all my files on Desktop.

Step 2 - Found the files in Network - USers- Desktop

copied all files again to desktop.

Step 3- Restarted my machine again and lost desktop files again.

Step 4 - As suggested did the following as listed below but dont find my files.

• Press “Windows + E”, open This PC/Computer
• Open Local Disc C, open Windows.old
• Click on Users, select your User name
• Go to desktop folder

Cant find my files. Why is Win 10 deleted files again and again from Desktop ?.

 

sdxc card/faulty??

i moved video files to sdxc card..can no longer get them to play
