Windows 10: Cannot delete sms message from my telephone app

Cannot delete sms message from my telephone app. I removed that sms from my smartphone but I still see it in windows 10 my telephone app.

few questions about some functions (sms, tasks, files, telephone)

SMS – is possible to:

set solely manual deleting of sms?

set period of automatic deleting of sms? (i.e. 1 month?)

delete all sms by date manualy?

save „concept“ of sms?

save sms on sim?

preserve (or somewhere find) count overview of unread sms even if i once look to sms „app“?



OUTLOOK TASKS:

can i find somewhere list of active reminders even if i have closed „basic“ notification?



FILE ADMINISTRATION:

can i browse (copy, move) files in mobile phone aside of applications?



TELEPHONE:

can i make a call via copied phone number? (i.e. phone nuber copied from web)

 

Delete backed up SMS/MMS messages

So, currently it looks like I am able to delete my SMS backups by doing the following:

• Using a WP8 device, sync your messages to the phone.
• Delete all the messages.
• Sync your Microsoft account.

Doing this, it looks like the deleted SMS messages are removed from the backup I see on Outlook.com. The problem is that it looks like the WP8 device will not download any backed up MMS messages, which means I cannot delete these from my back up.

Now that I know how to delete my backed up SMS messages, does anyone know how I can delete all my backed up
MMS messages?

 

Deleting contacts from Windows 10


When you say Windows Mail Live are you referring to Mail app or Windows Live Mail?

I suggest you to try the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Open Windows Live Mail.
• Press Ctrl + 3 using your keyboard. Right-click on the contact to delete it if it is a single contact.
• Highlight all contacts by pressing Ctrl + A.
• Click Delete located on the Ribbon bar.
• Click OK when you see the message These contacts will also be deleted from Hotmail, Messenger, and other Windows Live services.

After following the steps above, all your contacts that you have manually added to your account will be deleted however, contacts coming from third-party sites such as Facebook will not be deleted unless you remove Facebook from your account.

For Mail app:

Open People app then delete the contact.
