Cannot detect wifi channels 12-13 on 2.4Ghz

    Hi guys,
I have a strange problem with my laptop Dell m3800 with Windows 10 and Dell dw1560 Wifi mini card with Broadcom 94352 chip.
I am living in Europe but for some reason my wifi card cannot detect channels 12-13 on 2.4Ghz.
I think this is Windows 10 fault because after I fresh install everything it was working on channels 12-13, after I logged into Microsoft account it cannot detect channels 12-13 anymore.

Does anybody know how to fix this?

A little help will be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advanced

    :)

  2. Why my Nokia Lumia 830 can't detect 5GHz wifi?

    Hi,

The SIM is from Malaysia. So does it's current location Cannot detect wifi channels 12-13 on 2.4Ghz :p

I'm allowed to changes to channel 13 in 2.4GHz band.

Lumia 830 can connect to that band channel and the speed is normal.

Only in 5GHz that the phone seems to not being able to detect the wifi.

    Windows 10 can't see wifi channel 12 or 13

Since the anniversary update it has been impossible to connect to wifi channels 12 or 13. My laptop can't even see the wifi networks that run on those channels.

I'm in the UK. My laptops regions settings are set to UK and UK English. Also in the UK wifi channels 12 and 13 are perfectly legal and Windows 10 should not be blocking them. My wifi adaptor is also compatible with wifi channels 12 and 13

so this is a windows 10 issue.

I cannot find any setting in windows 10 to change the wifi adaptors region.

I cannot find any obvious setting in the registry either.

I have since put Windows 8.1 back on this laptop which now dual boots between Windows 8.1 and 10.

In Windows 8.1 the laptop can see and connect to networks on wifi channel 12 and 13

    In Windows 10 it can't.

    How can I fix this?

According to the device manager my network adaptor is a Ralink RT5390R

Cannot detect wifi channels 12-13 on 2.4Ghz

Did you set the Access Point to the European channel set, if it gives you that choice?

What is the mfg and model of the Access Point that you are having issues with?

Open up a Command Window and rune the following command, then copy and paste the output into a post: netsh wlan show all
