    Cannot Disable Defender - Antimalware Service Executeable Always Running


    Hello, i switched to 1903 from 1607 and i cannot disable this thing on this version, no matter what.

    I disabled everything under the Virus Protection settings including Tamper Protection

    I added these to regedit:



    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender]

    "DisableAntiSpyware"=dword:00000001



    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Real-Time Protection]

    "DisableRealtimeMonitoring"=dword:00000001

    "DisableBehaviorMonitoring"=dword:00000001

    "DisableOnAccessProtection"=dword:00000001

    "DisableScanOnRealtimeEnable"=dword:00000001



    I changed the group policy setting, Disable Defender to Enable



    Even after those Antimalware Service Executeable is still running, this is getting frustrating. Any ideas to shut it down permanetly?

    I am still having the problem even with the latest prerelease build. The Antimalware Service Executable process is often running and taking a lot of CPU, disk and memory. The same The Antimalware Service Executable -> Windows Defender Service ...
    Too often the PC (an I7 one, 8 GB EliteBook HP) is stuck and even the response of a keyboard entry is very slow!!

    Any suggestions?

    I was having the same issue like for weeks on my HP Probook Ci5 12GB, the Antimalware Service Executable process was eating up massive CPU, DISK and RAM. After all the hard time I got searching the solution I finally landed on
