Windows 10: Cannot enter Recovery Key in Windows Defender - only accepts numerals

Windows Defender offline asks for a Recovery Key, which I have written down - very long. Windows Defender will accept only numerals, not alphabetic characters. I cannot enter my Recovery Key with numerals only.

The eight-digit key is the key ID that tells you what recovery key to use (imaged edited for security reasons...

Here you see the Key ID code and next to it is the corresponding recovery key. So if the codes E80024E, you'll need to find the corresponding key which here would be 16965-175505.... That's the 48-digit key you need to input. Hope that helps *Wink

We suggest that you try restarting Windows Defender service and check if issue is resolved. Follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X key and type services.msc,
  hit enter.
• Search Windows Defender Service.:1)Windows Defender Service ; 2)
  Windows Defender Network.
• Right click on each and press Start.
• Restart your computer and check if issue persist.

For thouse who CAN help...:I can't enter adb (device not recognized), can't flash using stock recovery (don't really know the steps and stuck at triage and dead android when in recovery),
