Windows 10: Cannot exit S mode

Discus and support Cannot exit S mode in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I have tried everything, all windows updates are done, all apps in the store have been updated, and I have run wsreset.exe and re-booted and shut down...     Cannot exit S mode


    I have tried everything, all windows updates are done, all apps in the store have been updated, and I have run wsreset.exe and re-booted and shut down more times than I can count. I am still getting the "something happened and we couldn't start the upgrade" error. I've been trying for more than a day. Any other suggestions to get out of S mode? S mode makes this laptop practically useless to me.
