Windows 10: Cannot find "Advanced App Settings Option" under apps in settings

Hi there, I just got this laptop, and I cannot download google chrome or other apps due to them not being approved by Microsoft. I was told to go to settings -> apps -> advanced app settings but there is no "advanced app settings" option under the apps tab. I was then told it may be because my laptop is in S mode, but I checked my specifications and it's not in S mode, it's the normal "Windows 11 Home". Does anyone know why I cannot access advanced app settings? Or how I can enable downloads outside of the Microsoft store without it?

Skype app from Windows settings

Try resetting your Skype app from Windows settings.

In case you need steps for resetting your Skype app, refer to these:

1. Click start, then settings (gear icon)
2. Go to System > Apps & features
3. Find Skype, and click on Advanced options
4. Scroll down, find and click the Reset button

Open settings of Windows 8 App

In response to your query, please be informed that Windows 10 is in the list of supported operating system for Modern Reader. Also, the swipe from the right option is for Windows 8 and 8.1 therefore, that step will not open the settings. However, most
apps have their own settings, therefore, I suggest you to look for a gear icon in the app and check if you are able to find the option you are looking for.

Missing "Apps & Features > Advanced option"

I recently recovered my windows 10 from the newest update as a lot of my apps are not compatible yet.

Then I realized that many of the windows built-in apps such as Maps, Photos are not working anymore. (They instantly close/crash)

I found a solution online:

1. Open the Start menu and click Settings.
2. Click Apps & Features.
3. Locate and click _______ from the Applications list.
4. Click Advanced option.
5. Select Reset

However, I don't have the advanced option displayed when I choose an app (any app, including functional ones)

Is there a way to fix this? or do I have to "reset this PC"?
