Windows 10: Cannot find bitlocker recovery key to my old laptop in my account

Hi there, About a year ago, my old laptop died and only recently, I decided to recover my information. At the service center, they managed to retrieve my SSD drive and connect it to a new laptop. However, to access the files, they require the BitLocker recovery key. I attempted to locate it in my account https://account.microsoft.com/devices/recoverykey, but only the keys for my two new laptops are available there. The old one is still linked to my Microsoft account though..Is there any other way to get the BitLocker recovery key? Please, help me Many thanks,Alisa

What puzzles me is why the Bitlocker recovery key is not listed on the microsoft account, but there is a recovery key listed there for a computer I do not recognise.

I have several laptops but only the HP Envy has had Bitlocker on it. So what key is this on my account? And why isn't the Envy key there?

 

How to find BitLocker recovery key for broken laptop

After my old Windows laptop died I bought a new one. After registering the new computer, on Microsoft account I can see both, the old and new device but only BitLocker recovery key of the new device is listed - the one I'm connecting from. I need the BitLocker recovery key of the old laptop to unlock it's hard drive and copy the data to the new one. Is it possible to get the key on my Microsoft account without being able to login from the old device?
