    Cannot find Microsoft PIN on child's computer - Remotely


    I am at a loss here. We set up my daughter with a new CPU. She is under a family account and I am the administrator. She is in another state with the machine. When she wants to do anything, such as change the time and date, download an app, update an app she uses it asks for MY Microsoft account pin. I cannot find any way to locate this. I sign in on my local machine through my work account own my own business, so the Microsoft account I use for her is simply an account I had used for XBOX or who knows what else attached to my personal gmail. Any idea on how I find this PIN??A

    • How are you trying to change the password?
    • Have you logged in to your account and trying to set the PIN?
    I would suggest you to switch to child account and then try to set a 4 digit PIN from here and check if it works.

    PIN sign in for Microsoft Account

    I am using the Microsoft account page under family members. In this section where it shows my Grand Daughters Account details there is no option to have a Pin Code, However on my page, as Administrator, I can create a Pin.

    How to remove "HP Connected Remote" as a sign in account ?

    Thank you for writing your query in Microsoft Community.


    • Is your computer connected to a domain network?
    HP Connected Remote is an app that comes preinstalled on select Windows HP computers. I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it resolves this issue.

    • On the Windows 10 Start screen, type hp connected remote.
    • Click HP Connected Remote from the Apps search results.
    • Click Settings, and make sure Enable HP Connected Remote is turned On.
