Windows 10: Cannot find option to refund accidental purchase.

Hi all,


Made the mistake of buying something that I didn't realise was only for Xbox via the Microsoft store, but I can't find the option to refund it - wherever the option is, it's not in the same location as the other items I've purchased;

Refund for accidental purchase

We bought a laptop. I'm not used to it. I accidentally bought an app for a mobile device instead of PC. I am hoping for a refund. I was trying to purchase an offline app, Roget's Thesaurus, and instead bought the one for a mobile device. After that, I thought
I was buying the right app for PC and accidentally bought the book instead..an online thesaurus. I need a good offline thesaurus for writing when I'm not near WiFi. Not a good night... Can a person get a refund or exchange in cases like this? Thank you..

 

How to refund kids accidental purchases ?

Over 500 EUR were charged from my account. Accidental purchases were made by unknown kids (during kids party). I contacted support, but nobody responded. After I contacted live chat, I spent almost 2 hours in conversation,sending all purchase numbers,
the agent told that he is reviewing and I have to wait and than disconnection. I contacted again but there was another agent and reconnection to the other pone was not possible and send me link for refund. Any recommendation for the easiest way to refund accidental
purchases? Thank you for all advices

 

Refund for accidental purchase

Hi Shelly,

If your app/game was purchased within the last couple weeks, you should be able to request a refund.

Sign into your MS account - account.microsoft.com - Payment and Billing - Order History - Find the app you want a refund for and there should be a “request a refund” option.
