Windows 10: Cannot find PDF documents that I scanned to my laptop. Would appreciate any help.

Cannot find my scanned pages anywhere on my laptop. I scanned them as PDF documents. Seems they went to somewhere named DESKTOP-CELHN2E which is NOT my printer model number It also told me on my choices that no printer was selected but gave me no choice on how to put my printer number in. First time I have scanned PDF always have used JPG but person wanting info could not open the jpg file, I also did not choose the SCAN DESKTOP-CHELHN2E as I chose the scan icon on my printer.Any suggestions would be appreciated as I have been trying to find the 12 pages that were scanned PDF for three d

How to save a scanned document as PDF

There are some options that you can do to save the scanned documents to PDF file. You may follow these steps:

• Copy the scanned document.
• Open Word, then paste it.
• Click File > Save As > Choose the location where you want to save it.
• On Save as type, choose PDF > Save.

Windows Fax & Scan: How to Scan Documents to PDF format?


Greetings all,

In connection with my job, I have several insurance companies asking me to send scanned documents in Portable Document Format (PDF). My Brother Printer Control Center Fax-Scan software is not yet compatible with Windows10, even in Windows7 compatibility mode. The Windows10 Fax & Scan program does not list PDF as a scan-to file conversion option. Only jpeg, bitmap, txt, etc..

Is there a way to tweak or add-on something to Windows Fax & Scan to make it scan documents into PDF format? Thank-you for any guidance with this.
