  1. 'Cannot find the path specified' even though the folder was just modified

I am attempting to delete a few things, specifically, an empty folder, and a folder that has a broken file which I believe was originally an MP4 or similar file.

However, despite me having literally just moved other items in the folder around, it says that cannot find path specified for the empty folder, the broken file, or the folder that both are in, and refuses to move, delete, or rename them. I've attempted deleting them with the command prompt, using the Properties section from the drop down menu to find them, I've tried disk cleanup, but nothing works.

    :)

  2. Scanning/system cannot find the path specified

    Hi Julia,

The error System cannot find the path specified means that the path named in the command does not exist for the drive specified, or the path was entered incorrectly.

Furthermore, due to the complexity of your concern, we suggest that you post this at

    TechNet
    forum.

    Regards.

  3. CMD-Terminal starts with "the system cannot find the path specified"

    Hi there

I am kinda frustrated and can't solve this issue with my CMD-Terminal starting with the "the system cannot find the path specified" message. Even if I start it with admin-rights the problem remains the same. What are your suggestions? Here pictures from my issue (my OS is in German):
