    Cannot Get laptop out of Windows 11 S Mode


    I have two new HP laptops that I am unable to switch out of Windows 11 S Mode. I have run all updates, updated the Windows store, tried two different Micrsoft accounts; but always get a "Try Again" Error.

    Windows 11 Safe Mode PIN Failure

    I've a new Asus ProArt Studiobook and need to put the laptop into SafeMode to fix Windows Defender issue (thread here if of interest). I'm running the latest version of Windows 11 (23H2). I was attempting to boot into safe mode. At the login screen, I receive the following error "Something happened and your PIN isn't available. Click to set up your PIN again."

    Troubleshooting steps so far

    1. I've repeated this with the laptop LAN connected, WiFi connected, Safe Mode and Safe Mode with Network. still unable to login to my laptop via safe mode.
    2. I've also reinstalled Windows 11 using this guide, following the Reinstall Windows 11 using installation media Keep Everything steps... I didn't fancy reinstalling all my apps. still unable to login to my laptop via safe mode.
    Other than sending my laptop back under RMA or do a fresh rebuild, I'm out of options. Any ideas?

    In Windows 11 power-saving mode, clicking the Windows Focus prompt on the lock screen will cause a system crash.

    Problem description: As the title suggests.

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Enter Windows 11 power-saving mode.
    2. Click the Windows Focus prompt on the lock screen.
    Expected result: The login screen should appear and after logging in, the browser should automatically open to view content.

    Actual result: The system crashes.

    Device information:

    • Windows 11 version: 22H2 (22621.1413)
    • Device: Lenovo Xiaoxin 14 Pro 2021
    • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800H
    Other information:

    • When plugged in, the system automatically turns off power-saving mode and cannot be turned on manually. The function works normally.
    • When unplugged, turn off power-saving mode and the function works normally.
    • When unplugged, turn on power-saving mode and the system crashes.

    Windows 11 Laptop closing down apps when in sleep mode

    Hi All,

    I have a P16 Gen 2 laptop running Windows 11 that is relatively new. Since I have started using it I noticed it would close down all of my applications while it is in sleep mode. I have done my due diligence and:

    • Checked the power settings:
      • Run Power Troubleshooter
      • Tried to disable Hybrid Sleep but setting is not present
      • Adjusted power plan settings
    • Checked drivers are up to date
    • Disabled battery saver
    • Run SFC and DISM
    Everything that has been suggesting in forums and reddit I have tried but nothing has resolved the issue.

    Really hoping someone can shed some light on this.
